I had this issue many times with the last two versions of OS2007. Reflashing fixed it, but I never nailed down what was causing it. I don't know much about linux, so I never looked at the logs or terminal. Someday I'll learn this stuff, lol.

It seemed to be related to allowing the battery to fully discharge, resulting in an improper shutdown, but that's just a guess based off of my personal experience.

It's really a waste to send it in to a repair center when the device can be flashed so easily. Surely, this guy knows someone, somewhere with a Windows based PC and an internet connection, right? Is the flasher for other platforms really that hard to use? I wouldn't know, myself.

Regardless, since I updated to the OS2008 beta, I haven't had this problem, or several other problems I was having. I'd recommend not only reflashing, but also moving to OS2008. I'd bet that it doesn't happen again with OS2008.
