The N9 as we all know does not have the pull out K/B but it has the proccessor power along with enough ram to make that difference.

It is VERY thin and lightweight and the screen really is tough as hell unlike that of the N900 but as you said the N950 could have been and still could be its sister with updated hardware.

I doubt the community will be able to handle once again futher development of the N9 because of its closed components, so once again it does not get to be the "great" developing community everyone wanted and needed.

I really do need the N9 in my possesion to be able to get a proper feel for it as one thing i did want to check out i couldnt because of being inside a metal enclosure stopping the gps working properly.

I did note you said the N8 you liked and was multi tasking very well and probably why i was told by the staff the N8 was the best so far... hmmmm strange as i have never owned or even played with this device.

Oh well i will watch this and other threads with interest as to the dilemma's people encounter regarding this N9, i know in a couple of days i can own one but i am resisting and will not buy one for myself.
I really like my n900, but I got the n8 because the n900 has REALLY awful maps. Don't get me on Sygic, because for Brazil it is more than useless, whereas Nokia Maps for symbian is probably better than Google's.

I got a job that got me travelling a lot, so GPS and maps is one KEY selling point, to me. And I fear the n9 will see no such updates from Nokia.

Another selling point is the Camera. I'm a camera hobbyist and use it for my work, too. So win-win there.

And last, but not least, is one hand use and size. n900 is just too big, bulky, heav and clunky to be used one-handed, even with all the things CSSU did. The software is just terrible for portrait, and the hardware sure doesn't help.

These are the reasons why the n900 does not have a Sim card right now. I miss Flash, the browser, cute tube, xterminal, some hacking capabilities and some other things from the n900, but the n8 gives me GPS, camera, battery life and some simplicity, alongside giving me Twingo, FMobi, and other apps from my n900 days and more, like games and gravity, for instance.

I do miss the HW Keyboard, and I really miss my office suites from n900, they were really great (specially PDF), since I carry around a LOT of work material on the phone.

Oh! And Win RDP! I REALLY, REALLY miss win RDP on symbian. Something my n900 made that was really usefull for my work and symbian simply can't (and the competition can).

I hope the n9 can give all the n900 gave (except HW KB) and plus the benefits of symbian, I know I may be disapointed in several instances, but still I think it is worth a shop more than going to iOS or Android, because those I am SURE I will me disapointed in several places.
