Although a direct comparison based solely on aperture doesn't mean much, f/2.2 is usually better than f/2.4.
(f is the focal length of the lens and f/2.2 is the diameter of the aperture of the lens, which means that the lower the number, the larger the aperture and consequently the amount of light that hits the sensor.)
