If you know English can you explain what the screen is asking you when you unbox it for the first time? And can you guide us over to the language selection?
Without sim inserted because some people will have to go and get a microsim after they unbox it.
With a SIM card inserted, a freshly flashed N9 should default to the language retrieved from the SIM. I don't remember the exact layout of the startup dialog, however, it should be simple enough to change the language. Click on the item where you see Danish/Dansk and you should see a list of supported languages.

Wait a second, that's still not going to change all the menu and icon languages or is it?
Changing the device language will also update application names as shown in the menu. Ideally, you start by flashing a different firmware image, but I don't know whether they are available for public download anywhere.
