Actually, my test video *will* play in MP and OMP... but only when the phone is overclocked, or if the phone has just been powered up.

When I mentioned Handbrake I was referring to the multiplatform DVD ripping tool with included x264 libraries. The test video I sent was a rip with a specific "Constant Quality" factor. This "CQ rf" value is related to the kB/s of the videostream.

There does seem to be a correlation between the clock speed, the kB/s rate of the video, and gstreamer's willingness to play the video. Some of my videos ripped with a lower bitrate / higher CQ rf number will play regularly in both MP and OMP, while ones with a higher bitrate will regularly fail to play.

Compare with the old dsp drivers, where h264 videos might play sluggishly, but they'd at least play.
