The UI and functionality are slightly separate because, as I understand it, bleeding edge kernel versions are required to make this work. Have a look towards the end of Pali's kp thread and all of freemangordon's 720p thread.

Q. This highlights something quite important:
The CSSU is surely destined for all users, not just power users. If the camera is due to incorporate HD functionality, shouldn't associated packages not depend on the enhanced kernel? Standard users may not want to install kernel-power or over clock but the HD buttons will exist in the UI - unless there's going to be a fork for the kernel-power camera-ui (more work!)?
