My prediction is that Meltemi is not just maemoX. It will be massively stripped down compared to N9. It is replacement for S40. Smarter than S40, but it still needs to have a LONG battery life. So not like maemo, with a linux distro beneath it. Instead very stripped down system, probably with quite small screen to preserve battery also.

Of course, it may act as some sort of backup plan if/when WP strategy backfires. But in it's coming incartation I don't think it's nothing that many of us want, a linux distro on a phone.

So don't be fooled by that the hw specs might look powerful enough. These phones need to have long battery life, meaning quite different OS.
