Why do you keep turning it into porting.
I cited e.g's in response to what you were talking about in that section of your post.
And it had nothing to do with porting...

You're welcome, I guess? I'm still not seeing any answers to the questions I'd asked. Has anybody seen any particular reason why these N9 screens have a bad pentile AMOLED other than the throw-up-your-hands and wave them, "OH LAWDY PENTILE AMOLED IS THE DEVIL" scary dance? As I said, I know that the Android camp's Bionic looks beautiful EXCEPT for these weird pentile display problems that are noticeable but I've not heard of any complaints on the N9's display so far. Can anybody report back on any of that?
The Bionic's display is great, if the N9's is as good overall, it'll be an excellent screen.
As has been pointed out, it'll have limitations (in some respects) compared to SAMOLED+ (pentile, RGBG, 50% less sub-pixels etc).

What you posted here....

Sounds very much like the limitations one would feel if they're closely comparing a Pentile to an RGB Stripe

Perhaps that's the basis for the bulk of these "complaints" you're alluding to?
I doubt they're mostly genuine issues, just limitations of Pentile compared to RBG Stripe.
And people getting all paranoid about that fact etc...
