No, but networks can block stolen devices by IMEI. However, although it's illegal in most places for obvious reasons, it is technically possible to alter IMEI on most/all devices if you have the technical resources.

Google tells me that Nokia use OTP (one-time programmable) memory for the IMEI - smart move, as it means a physical replacement of that chip is necessary to change the IMEI. As far as I can see, this is good news for everyone but phone thieves.

: I can't decide whether to try to source a 64GB from Europe, or to wait for Expansys North America to tell me they're ready to take all my money.

Anyone know what warranty a phone from expansys will have? My expectations are nice and low.
