Personally I prefer the Droid RAZR but with quick modifications:
-Root & boot unlocked
-4.8in curved display
-1280x800 Super Amoled Plus
-No Navigation Buttons
-HOST ready from the microUSB

And some major/other modifications:
-My own custom UX built on top of ICS 4.0.1 (with the Qt framework)
-Dual loudspeakers on the longitudinal sides of front face of the phone (a la HTC Arrive)
-Power button on top of device
-Lapdock with the connection in the front so the phone doubles as the trackpad
-1.5GHz TI 4470

... ...
and maybe the same phone as above but with a tilting mechanism where the bottom modular is changeable between keyboard, extended battery, or dual-joystick-gamepad.
