If this is the most of your worries, there is no reason to be discouraged. I installed this, and have had 0 issues b/c of it:

This, coupled with the slim skin/case that comes with the N9 protects it amazingly. If you really want to go an extra mile, a pouch like this will protect it even more, possible overkill though:

Since this phone was a gift from the wife, I am using the Skinomi protection with the nokia case, and she also got me the pouch above for if I go work out, or throw it in a bag in my locker at the hospital...yes, overkill...but since the phone is not under U.S. warranty, I have take decent care of it.
