I recently wrote/adapted a little program to help me remeber chinese characters (actually it was more of an adapting and porting action). It uses pygame to quickly render picture on the screen and also reads keyboard input to control the application. The program works almost identical on a a regular PC except ofcourse screen resolution and some keys are missing on the N900 keyboard.
