sounds a lot like the original meego promises, doesn't it? Which makes me wonder: can canonical succeed where giants failed? they need to get some hardware vendors on their side.... Plus, they'll have to explain to these hardware companies why Ubuntu is better than tizen (or whatever that'll be called then - if it still exists, that is).
