The point of referring the OP to those threads...
Is that they're focused around his/her subject matter, & there's plenty of folks already subscribed, hence lotsa eyes.
Doesn't make sense to have a dozen or more threads of the same or very similar subjects.
Folks aren't going to subscribe to every single one of them etc.
If you search those threads (ideally skim-read much of it if you have time) for "UK" or similar key-words, you'll get lotsa ideas.

Yes of course there's no policy, you're most welcome to start a splinter thread.
But you can 'bet your bottom dollar' that what the OP's asking, has been discussed countless times in those threads.
And is constantly being re-defined, thanks to dialogue back & forth in them.
