I can see that.

Personally, I found it confusing at first, but then I kind of liked it because I know when its in my hand, I know how to swipe down, I don't have to be looking at the app. Eg, if I have an app open and I don't realize it doesn't rotate, I don't have to guess about top down, if I have it holding in landscape and the app won't rotate landscape, it use to be left to right to close... now I know down to close means down to close.

On the desk, I totally get that. It is confusing. Good thing we also have multitasking view
