Bluetooth dial-up networking users: Read that and tell me your experience please?
Yet another example of an industry trying to squeeze the very last out of the consumer, by hiking or changing its arbitrary rates. Out of all the utilities I always found telephony to be the most ridiculously overpriced. Sure the infrastructure needs maintainance and the fees help fix problem. But gas and electric companies don't seem to charge such ridiculous amounts. But just as land line prices have dropped or driven to extinction from the competition of celular provider, I bet the cellular providers are shitting their pants about the growing omnipresence of Wi-Fi.

As for my cingular account, I pay the unlimited internet $19.99. yes a rip off (considering I only have GPRS, I really need to upgrade). Technically I don't think I'm supposed to hook up my Nokia either, to pull data. I wish I could just buy mobile broadband (or something close to it) without having to spend money on the traditional telephone part as much (I make very few calls). Not enough flexibility in these companies' plans, in my opinion.
