That dmesg is peculiar.. I get something similar too but not nearly as long.
For me, I had some minor problems with my card but had quickly formatted it ext2 on my laptop before I really noticed if there was a problem. I remember once having a drive that didn't have partitions setup, perhaps the unit is expecting such a thing? But I thought linux was more tolerant of such silliness. *shrug*
Opted for ext2 instead of ext3 since it reduces the number of writes to the card... though if
wikipedia is to be believed
, it wouldn't really matter anyways. Chose ext2 over fat32 since I like being able to set permissions on my files even if it means that i lose the ability to use the card with windows machines.
