You know I did this with my device in PR1.0 and I kept losing information after a reboot, like Contacts, Messages and Feeds.

I didn't dare try it again in PR1.1 after I re-flashed from scratch after my initial sync had some music duplication issues and album art issues.

This seemed to help:
tracker-control --reindex-mime-type=audio/mpeg. This may help

Maybe for Videos and Gallery just replace it with the proper MIME type.

You should see it start indexing using
tracker-control --status

No need to run as root.

PS I'm no guru at all, but this worked for me. I had two entries for the same Artist and it cleared it up.
