Through filebox or any good file manager that allows you to look at root directories, navigate to /usr/share/sounds

There will be a couple of folders in there, and within those all the system sounds and ringtones are contained which are mostly, if not all wave files. You can copy the desired system sound to MyDocuments folder which is the the drive you'll see when you attach your N9 to a PC via USB.
