Apparently you need an account in one of the service providers listed in the www2sms and web2sms apps, you will probably have to register for those services. Just tap on account on the top bar and you will see many accounts listed.

I am still hoping jaxtrsms will in future support MeeGo and Maemo. SMS on that is absolutely free and no account setup is required
