This may be the fix:

try this:

open terminal

devel-su
rootme
apt-get update
apt-get -f install
apt-get autoremove
apt-get clean
apt-get autoclean

just to make sure all the necessary pkgs are installed and correct and any that have been made obsolete, that may be causing the issue are removed.
