Hi All,
Yesterday evening I made an important observation that I would like to share. This will cross link with the idle consumption problem too. I noticed that syncing Mail, Contacts and Calendar all 3 makes the device run hot and idle consumption shoots to 40.
I never used exchange from past one week and always wondered why all of you talk about idle consumption, until I set up an exchange account 3days back. It heavily drained battery and pushed up consumption.
All I did was to delete constant sync (which is more or less makes the concept of sync useless) and took off mail from the sync options. I used another account to setup mail.
I rebooted and have now spent 24hrs with idle consumption coming down to mere 6 even though I continue to use all my social networking , reading blogs and mails. Something seriously is at fault. Thats it from me.
Ignore my amateurish language because I am a biologist and not a coder.
