You don't have the icon to launch asui-settings? Or does the icon and settings button inside ASUI just not launch asui-settings?

If the icon is missing then reinstall ASUI with apt-get --force install advanced-systemui

If asui-settings simply won't launch then run asui dis to download and install the test binary again.
