SERIOUSLY?

This is by far the least thought out post I've read on this forum..

a) Sure most stuff in the charts is **** (As far as I'm concerned, and by the sounds of things as far as you;re concerned too) but if the poster likes the sound of something and wants to find out what it is, what does that matter? (I have in the past been surprised after finding out a track I liked was by a band which I had previously dismissed because I knew they'd done well in the charts)

b) The fact that 'most stuff is shite' is surely more of a reason to hunt down the few songs that are actually good.

c) There's plenty of good music out there beyond what gets played on the radio, and it's generally those tunes which are going to be harder to identify..

d) Erm.. You do realise that songs don't stop existing, right? Things like shazam are great for tracking down great tracks from the past that, again, probably weren't massive hits in the pop charts..
