I would say that N950 and lumia 800 are on par as OS smoothness. N950 lags more but I don't have to wait for transitions before I can do something... lumia seems to be more responsive but when using those two next to each other one can clearly see how long the transitions take time... I'd say that the difference is less than a second when one opens 2 stock applications + 1 web page without taking account the time for searching the icons.
