Messed around with your AUDIO -- DSP, stopping it, unchecking it, checking it and ran the above commands again.

Did the same as above using sudo instead.

Still no sound in Garnet.

Anyway, I stopped Modest, thinking that might have been the cause lately then

dsp_dld

Rebooted three times, it kept making it all the way to 100% on the loading screen but then would reboot again.

I think it's finally back to normal now.

Maybe I should take the dsp_dld file, copy and rename it and run it not as root? I don't know.

EDIT:
I spoke too soon. It's in an endless reboot (50+ times).

It makes it to 100% on the loading screen but doesn't get to the Desktop.

I think it's now because the battery is low, but whenever I try to charge it, the tablet immediately tries to boot.

Any help on this?

Well, after about 90 minutes of it rebooting, I finally got my desktop back. Whew.

It still would be great to find another way to do that whole dsp_dld thing.

If anyone has an idea, I'd be happy to test it.
