Hi all,
On my side here is what I understand :
- Actually I don't need
'EAP-SIM authentication'
to be able to use Freewifi Hotspots from my N900 (not already tested with my N9 but I don't see any restrictions that can block the same process).
- By the way, without
'EAP-SIM authentication'
I have to connect to the open Freewifi Hotspot near me, then, after that, go to the default captive web site to enter my authentication credentials.
- Then I'm able to use the Freewifi Hotpsot as usual.
- If I understand properly
'EAP-SIM authentication'
, whenever the device connect to the Freewifi Hotspot, then the authentication is automatically pushed, avoiding the phase to use the captive web site to manually entering credentials ...
- I think if the device doesn't support
'EAP-SIM authentication'
, then we fall back to entering the credentials manually using the old method (captive web site).
Hope it help ...
