It isn't dead, it somehow decided to stay alive just so to annoy, laugh at and fail you in your quests and to tell you to move along and happy un-trolling. May you have the worst day ever, it says.

On a serious note, I don't see any reason why *any* device should be declared "dead" as long as there are improvements continue to be done on it, let it be by the community or the manufacturers... and why you want it to be declared as such so much. I might be severely lacking your sense of humor or something, but that probably has to do with my environmental acceptance of such things.
