Would installing it as libSDLmixer...fixed.so and using this as dependency (-lSDLmixer...fixed on linking) and just additional package allow for not uninstalling mp...? Not perfect but 10 apps would require this file only once this way, instead of packaging it each time. Still far from perfect.
