FYI (feel free to use it as well):

I had the same problem - managed to make the nitdroid.manifest and used the files posted before (in dropbox) - all mirrored here http://nitdroid.dft-labs.eu/. So I've added :

80.87.128.179 downloads.nitdroid.com

and it installed fine (but hangs on the animated ANDROID logo at the moment?).
