I have been on the road without my netbook and I find that the current Maemo version of Transmission Bittorrent client will very often not associate with the 'cloud' for most torrents, I belive this is at least partly an ISP related issue. I have had better luck getting a torrent download to work when I save the .torrent file and run transmission in chroot Debian as long as the torrent has real tracker.
It would be useful to have an up to date native Maemo Transmission release to allow magnet links direct from the browser, up to date peer-exchange, and current encryption considering that bittorrent technology is leaving the .torrent file, fixed trackers, and open unencrypted communication behind in favor of the magnet link, encrypted packets that an ISP has trouble selectively blocking, and peer exchange to decentralize the network discovery.
