BTW I saw that it is now possible to carry an offline copy of the Pirate Bay magnet link database on a flash key.

Even if Pirate Bay went down the torrents would remain alive and this would be a key in connecting to that orphaned network.

(update) According to the above article it appears that at least the Pirate Bay will be ending support for .torrent files soon so our current native Maemo Transmission release will become incompatible at least with TPB, but other sites are sure to follow in order to save bandwith leaving .torrent file support a legacy feature for most users rather than the primary supported format.
