Also, for anyone having trouble with QtIrreco (or just interested in trying out something different), please consider the app Pierogi. I wrote it out of my frustration at the QtIrreco design, and I think it has a much better underlying philosophy of how a remote control should perform. (Plus, I think it's much easier to use.)
