You need to hold in the power button :0)
If that doesn't work, pull all the cards and try again removing the battery. Plug in the charger after replacing the battery and hold the power button in. If that doesn't work, you've got a bad n800.
EDIT: I hope you exchange it they are really great once you get through the teething process.
