IIRC N900 backup file in merely a zip files containing all database files of contacts, etc
so basically you can extract it, take the right file (in the real device, it's .osso-abook/db/addressbook.db)
unfortunatelly it's not a sqlite db, so you might need to open it as text file, and scroll until you find where contacts details stored (it's in standard .vcf format)
