Mine has a hairline scratch on the battery cover, that I only noticed several weeks afterwards (it was either there from the start or developed afterwards, but I can't think of a way I could have accidentally inflicted such a small scratch myself). But in my experience with the 770, N800 and now N810, all arrive in pristine or virtually pristine conditions.
