By some reason, inside your debian, the file "/usr/bin/suxephwm" has wrong permissions. To fix it :
- enter debian;
- type :
[root@chroot: ~] chmod 755 /usr/bin/suxephwm
Now suxephwm and the icon (after the fix) should work.
