You don't get printed directions, AFAIK. The program is designed to use a GPS receiver, and show your position on the route which is dispayed on the map. You get popup turn instructions at the proper time, or you can use flite to get voice turn directions. IME, though, flite isn't useful because the volume is so low the directions can't be heard, even when I'm connected to my car stereo with the volume well up. I haven't found a way to increase the volume of the turn directions. If anybody has a way to do that, please share.
