releasing the source would make development quicker but that is up to the original author at the end of the day!

Also do you honestly think WhatsApp are going to go through all the IMEI's for every N9 and block them?

I personally don't think they will bother blocking this app, I think the only reason they didn't give us an official solution is that it required them to spend money and they didn't want to spend money on a platform that is considered 'dead'

Well Nokia do at least know how to build a decent phone, just apparently don't know how to support it..
