Aha, I've seen something similar with FM Radio N9, but could not reproduce again.

There are 2 possible reasons:
1) FM Radio N9 is not well done - you know what I mean.
2) There is another background activity running

Just wonder - are all other applications become slow when you tune RDS channel? (try to swipe and open browser and swipe and see how responsive UI is.
