It doesn't matter if PR1.3 is the last OS update. Harmattan is so open that developers can write apps to interface with the hardware and integrate into the OS to improve it or add features. For example we have Easy Answer which change the way you answer calls. This won't be possible in a closed OS like WP7.5. The poor users there don't even have a screenshot app. It took Microsoft 1 year to allow a torchlight app which makes use of the camera LED. Lumiaman, are you reading this?
