Hi Maemo Community,
I have an OpenVPN client installed and working on my N900. Everything functions well, except I
cannot understand why when I am connected to the VPN the traffic directed at my
external
IP address does NOT go through the VPN tunnel
(it goes through 3G or Wi-Fi instead).
For example: If my VPN's public IP address is 208.208.208.208 and I am running an externally accessible SSH server on 208.208.208.208, if while connected to the VPN I try to SSH to 208.208.208.208 the connection
does NOT go through the VPN
tunnel (goes via 3G/Wi-Fi instead). However, if I try to SSH to the
internal private IP address of the SSH serve
r (let's say 10.10.0.10) then the SSH
connection DOES go through the VPN tunnel.
I would very much appreciate if anyone could shed some light on why/how this is happening. Thank you!
