The n8x0, the n900 and the n9 all have an inbuilt SIP client. This means that as long as you have a standards compliments server and an account on that server, you should be able to connect to it using your n900.

Most corporate setups usually use VOIP phones only on the internal network.
To connect to the server in this set up you would need to VPN in first.
