Due to a series of unlucky events I've bricked my N9 and can't use the Flasher tool

To start I switched to a dodgy theme and the phone wouldn't reboot.

Then I decided to reflash the firmware which I've done several times in the past without problems.

For some unknown reason the flashing failed half way through (could have been the PC at fault)

I now believe I could still reflash the phone but the battery level is below 11% so it won't continue.

I've tried leaving the phone charging in the flasher utility but it won't charge due to no firmware.

Catch 22. How do I get the flasher to ignore the battery level or get the phone to charge in order to flash?
