Better question, why do they need Dell, HP, Acer, etc.? Better still, why does Dell, HP, Acer, etc. need Microsoft now?

What? How can you NOT expect yet another Microsoft attempt at a tablet PC? How many bets on this one ending up as vaporware also?

I can still remember staring at a married couple across the counter in the Verizon store the day my brother and I purchased our Motorola Droids a little over two years ago. I remember giggling a little with my brother that they were purchasing a couple of Microsoft Kin. Little did I know that I should have been bursting out in laughter instead. I'm sure they saw me, anyway. I have to wonder what those two now think about those phones that they bought with a 2-year contract and just what kind of taste they have in their mouth for any phones based on Microsoft. Do you think they'll bet on Microsoft again?
