I was experimenting with StandByMee-Chess to avoid screen flickering and noise with certain color combinations. Below are the fruits of an accident (each about 5MB of size) which i want to share:

How its done
If you feel confident with standby screen modifications take a green logo, push it to the standby screen and play a video in the terminal using mplayer. Thats the idea but it does not work always. Alternatively, you can install DIY operator logo or LPM customizer (less risky as you dont need to modify system files yourself).

Ideas are welcome

• Sound visualization when playing music (justadude)
• Something like Nokia Sleeping Screen (Kozzi)
• Play animation for solutions of StandByMee-Chess

Technical explanations
None so far.

Battery consumption
Its clear that you should not play a video on the standby screen at least not with all available colors. Playing short animations from time to time with a reduced palette of colors should be okay but we will see.
