Tap the bottom icon on the left that looks like the sillouhette of a head and shoulders; this will bring up a login dialogue. Login. Tapping the middle + icon allows you to add columns of searches (eg for words, hashtags etc) or of mentions of your uid, your own timline etc. The top, birldlike icon allows you to tweet.
