How did you get it to work? I unpacked the .deb files with dpkg -x to a folder I created,/opt/myfiles/.

Then I added this to ~/.bashrc

export PATH=/opt/myfiles/bin:/opt/myfiles/usr/bin/:/opt/myfiles/usr/sbin/:/sbin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/bin

I rebooted the phone but no luck.
"manpath not found" when trying manpath

what do you mean by external folder. A folder outside of the directory tree or /media/External ?
