Get on firmware 3.55, patch the hypervisor, rehash eEID to a Debug unit, install debug firmware with patched hypervisor, install Linux and play.

The vanishingly few >3.55 games worth playing have been patched for 3.55, and if it hasn't, you can simply update to 4.${WHATEVER_SONY_IS_ON}, play, and reinstall your patched 3.55 Debug firmware to get your favorite game, Linux back.

Linux on it doesn't have accelerated 2D/3D support yet, but it works just fine as a server of sorts, or a big living room web browser, or both.
