there's a wiki for cssu where you can find answers to everything.
it is proposed to backup before you update although I never lost anything.

but, just in case, do a backup!

*as for the overclocking... there are a lot of ways.
just do your research , check the replies on the threads and decide...


for example , i chose the xterminal way.

kernel-config load lv (or ulv, ideal, xlv.... whichever voltage you fancy)

kernel-config limits (### ###) <--- your min & max MHz
kernel-config save lv*insert name*
kernel-config default lv*name*

^ 20 seconds process
